The Count Down is ON!!
Baby is almost here.
Lets make sure you have your list completed:
Funny story-I washed my yoga pants (i.e. The only pants that still fit me comfortably) every night just-in-case.
You have a written a list of other things you need pack. (Make-up, hair brush, slippers)
You have your insurance number handy to call as soon as baby is born to add to insurance plan (the doctor told me this was the first person to call after grandparents).
Have your work numbers listed for your husband to call in case you go into labor. (I actually missed my work shower because I went into labor 3 weeks ahead of schedule...and THANK GOD my husband was able to call in for me since I was a HOT MESS!)
Nails are done. (Baby pictures do include mommy's hands.)
Make sure husband's nails look decent (because his nails will be in the pictures too!)
Have your hair is done at least 3 weeks before due date. (I went into labor early with baby #1 so my hair was a HOT freaking mess...roots over an inch long and scraggly ends=NOT pretty and such a sad story.)
Do your hair every day for 3 weeks leading up to birth. (I know....so vain!...but who doesn't want pretty hair for pictures?!?) Another funny story--I did my hair every day from 30 weeks on EXECPT the night my water broke. WTH!!! SOOOO....never fear, my friends, my water broke and I JUMPED into the shower, shaved my legs, washed my hair, blow dried my hair, and straightened it before we drove 45 minutes in a snow storm. geeeeeez But SO worth it!!!
Clean yourself up down south. (This will be your last chance for several weeks, FYI.)
Don't forget the dogs and cats! Have a dog/cat sitter lined up.
Have a baby sitter lined up (and probably more than one...just in case) for any older siblings. (Thank God for my BFF, Nikki, who drove over at 11pm to babysit Grayden...bless her!!!)
Have 'sub plans' for older siblings written out several weeks in advance with a mock daily schedule.
HUMMM....What else am I forgetting???
Happy Count Down!

Thank goodness for this list! I'm clueless about what in the world I'll be needing to do to get ready. Thank you!
