Pros and Cons on Breastfeeding vs Bottlefeeding

Making a decision to Breastfeed vs Bottle feed is a personal one. No matter what you choose, you have to make a decision that is right for you and your baby.  

Here some Pro's for Breastfeeding:
-Always available
-Free
-Active infection fighting white blood cells can increase protection against infection in the first three months.
-Can prevent SIDS, according to the American Academy of Pediactrics
-Perfect proportion of nutrients including protein, carbohydrates, fat, and calcium
-Easily digestible
-Can help new mothers loose weight.

Here are some Pro's to Bottle Feeding:
-Formulas are a close match to ingredients and proportions in human milk.
-A happy, unstressed mommy makes the best mother.  If bottle feeding best meets mommy's needs, then it is what best meets your baby's needs, as well.  

Tips When Choosing Formula:
-It is okay to choose less expensive.
-Select iron-fortified formula.  Iron-definceny can have adverse effects on brain development. 
-Pick Powder, Concentrate, or Ready-to-feed formula...whatever meets your needs.  
-Choose cow milk over soy milk to start.
