I'm convinced Pinterest has made me a better person. I can cook better, clean faster, make playtime for my kids "funner" (moon sand!) and am now a master organizer. Are you laughing at me? Do you think I'm kidding? I'm serious! Stop laughing!
My obsession with Pinterest shows in the kitchen the most. I have tried dozens of recipes, most of them big hits in our house. Some recipes...not so much. Want to know our favorites and our failures? Here's a list:
Our Favorites:

These were so easy and SO tasty. I skipped the onions (since I'm nursing) and only used about 1/2 of the butter "sauce" total so I'd probably cut that in half next time.
2. Taco Pasta
Holy cow this is good. I added a little bit of shredded cheddar cheese on top of ours and it was perfect.
3. Crispy Chicken with Creamy Italian Sauce

This one takes a little more time, but is totally worth it. Great for a nice Saturday night dinner in.
4. Olive Garden Breadsticks
Again, takes some time but these do surprisingly taste like Olive Garden's breadsticks. The main difference between these and the restaurant's is that these tend to be much heavier/dense. Still delicious!
5. Vodka Pasta
This one is fairly simple, but my dishwasher is full after making it. If you are up for dirtying every measuring cup and blender in your kitchen, give this a try. It is pretty amazing.
6. Cake Batter Balls
These are super simple to make but get kind of messy when it's time to make the crunchy coating. I L.O.V.E. sprinkles so I added a bit more (ok maybe a lot). They really do taste like cake batter!
7. Crockpot Ravioli Casserole
This is super filling and we ate it as leftovers for several days. I did add more cheese, because you can never have too much cheese.
8. Butterfinger Bars
You will NEVER guess what the main ingredient of this 3 ingredient dessert is. Candy corn. I HATE candy corn but I could eat these all day long (I actually did when I made them). When I made these I made everyone guess...the answers were kind of hilarious.
Our Failures:
1. Baked Crab Rangoon (couldn't find a working link)
Words can't describe how terrible these were. I was SO excited to make them and they were a total flop. Bummer...I guess some things are just meant to be fried.
2. Banana Ice Cream
Healthy ice cream too good to be true? Yes, yes it is. Why in the world did I think this would taste like ice cream? This is ALLLL the craze on Pinterest right now but let me tell you, no matter how much chocolate or peanut butter you add to it, it still tastes like cold banana baby food. YUCK!
3. Kale Chips:
I'll admit up front that I ate the entire pan of these when I made them but I didn't really like them. I ate them because my husband was making fun of me about the banana ice cream thing and then I immediately made these. It is one thing to think a frozen banana is going to taste like vanilla ice cream, it is another thing to think lettuce is going to taste like a potato chip. Point taken. These are the weirdest thing I've ever tasted, not horrible but not good. Kind of like eating salty, oily lettucy air. I won't be making them again.
Obviously I've had a lot more success than failures in my Pinterest cooking adventures. Want to see more Pinterest recipes put to the test? There are whole websites/blogs like practicewhatyoupinterst.com that are devoted to reviewing "pins".
